Dermatix Ultra Gel is clinically shown to improve the color, texture, and overall appearance of scars. It works for many types of scars, including acne scars, surgery scars, and scars from burns, cuts, and other injuries.

You can start using Mederma gel as soon as new skin has formed, typically two or more weeks after the injury or surgery. Make sure the scab has come off naturally and any stitches have been removed. On older scars you may start using Mederma immediately.

Uses Of Dermatix Ultra Gel

To prevent and manage keloids and hypertrophic scars (eg, those resulting from surgical procedures, trauma wounds and burns), after the wound has healed and the skin surface is intact.

Benefits Of Dermatix Ultra Gel
  • a natural response to broken skin, the body forms collagen fibers and a scar that will normally fade within two years; abnormal scars (hypertrophic and keloid) remain red and raised and can grow bigger. Scars can create problems like itching, pain and restricted movement, as well as lowered self-esteem.
  • Dermatix Gel has been shown to flatten, soften and reduce scar-associated discoloration in old or new scars and is used in the prevention of abnormal scar formation. Dermatix contains topical silicone gel that rapidly dries to form an invisible “sheet.” Dermatix Gel is available without prescription from selected pharmacies, medical supply stores and some physicians’ offices.
  • It is effective for the management and prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scars. Dermatix has also been successfully used to manage scars resulting from trauma, burns and surgery.
Side Effects Of Dermatix Ultra Gel
  • Dermatix should not be applied to open or fresh wounds, placed in contact with mucous membranes or too close to the eyes.
  • Dermatix should not be applied over antibiotic skin preparations or other skin treatment products.
  • Dermatix may stain clothing if not completely dry.
  • Dermatix should be applied to clean, dry skin only.
  • If redness, pain or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your physician.
How To Use Dermatix Ultra Gel

Apply 3-4 times a day and get effective results in just 10 weeks

  • Dermatix gel is very simple to apply and should be used twice a day:
  • Step 1: Dermatix gel is simple to apply and should be used twice daily Optimal contact with the skin is important for efficacy [1]
  • Step 2: Clean the area to be treated with mild soap and water, pat dry Most skin irritation due to occlusive patches occurs from maceration* or poor hygiene *Maceration: when the skin becomes pale, moist, wrinkled and soggy, such as when a plaster has been on for too long
  • Step 3: Gently spread a very thin coat over the affected area To ensure that Dermatix self-dries in 45 minutes
  • Step 4: Allow to dry for 45 minutes before covering with make-up Allows for discreet scar remodelling
  • Step 5: Dermatix dries partially as a result of the temperature difference between the skin and the gel. If Dermatix has not dried within 45 minutes, you have applied too much remove the excess and allow the drying process to continue. Faster drying time in warmer weather can be achieved by keeping Dermatix in the fridge before application. In cooler weather faster drying time can be achieved by a medium-to low temperature setting on a blow-dryer.
